From a single fleece to your entire clip, we can process any volume. We specialise in alpaca fibre, both suri and huacaya but we can also process any natural fibre from camel to rabbit. We handle each batch of processing separately and clean all equipment between orders. Regardless of order size, your own fibre is always returned to you, guaranteed.
We are a full service fibre mill capable of washing, drying, picking, dehairing, carding, spinning, felting and blending. We can process to whatever stage you require from rovings (or tops) for handspinners, batts for felting and doonas or yarn into skeins or balls. We know the importance of consistant yardage/weights, plying, skein appearance etc and are happy to work with you to customise your product.
By taking into consideration fleece length, micron count and blend percentage and by synchronizing twist per inch, yarn thickness and rate of production we can produce consistant quality yarns of any thickness, either loose or tight. From bulky rug yarn to lightweight lace.
We process 100% alpaca, both suri and huacaya. Our machinery is designed to handle staple lengths between 75mm to 150mm and slippery fibres like suri.
By blending fleeces together we can reduce processing waste and produce unique colouration. We can blend suri with huacaya or process alpaca with other speciality fibres such as wool, silk or mohair.
